How to use the bulldozer ripper shank

First Step: Preparation before operate the bulldozer

1. Bulldozer Inspection

 - Verify hydraulic oil level(The oil temperature need 10, if in cold area need preheat to 40)

   - Check the dozer ripper shank tooth tip wear (Single tooth wear 30% of original length)

   - Test lift cylinder rangefull movement time should 15 seconds

2. Terrain assessment

   - Mark underground utilities or obstacles

   - Measure ground slope(adjust working direction if exceeding 15°)

Second Step: Basic Bulldozer Operation Procedure

1. Bulldozer Positioning

   - Park the bulldozer 2-3 meters from the working face

   - Adjust bulldozer ripper shank to 55°±5° optimal angle

2. Layered Ripping

   - First time penetration depth: 1/3 of tooth length (For example 10-15cm for 30cm teeth)

   - Use "stepwise advancement" in hard strata: lateral movement = 80% of tooth spacing

3. Bulldozer speed control

Soil Type

Recommended   Speed

Penetration   Depth

Hard Clay

2-3 KM/H

20-30 cm

Weathered   Rock

1.5 KM/H

15-20 cm

Frozen   Soil

1 KM/H

10-15 cm

4. Bulldozer Reset Process

   - Raise ripper 30cm above ground before reversing at face end

   - Never drag under load (prevents tooth broken)

---

Third Step: Special Condition Handling

Use "cross-breaking method": create longitudinal grooves first, then break transverse protrusions

Fourth Step: Safety Prohibitions

1. Ripper shank without tooth install operation prohibited(The ripper shank need to installed with all the tooth needed)

2. Immediately stop if hydraulic pressure exceeds 22MPa or drops below 16MPa

3. More carefully for sudden hardness changes

4. No personnel within 5m behind ripper during operation

Fifth Step: Maintenance after the bulldozer finished the work

1. Remove tooth adhesives immediately (use copper hammer, avoid steel tools)

2. Lubricate all pins (inject lithium grease until old grease extrudes)

3. Lower ripper to ground and release hydraulic pressure when storing
